4.0 - File Manager Overview


The File Manager is a hub in which you have access to store all your files on our system, allowing you the option to create folders in order to expedite the tedious process of searching for specific files. The File Manager also offers a photo editing option, which can save you valuable time and hassle as-well as saving you a trip back to your personal photo editing software.


Each icon has an informative hover over description to aid the user in learning the function of the icon. For further details on each icon, please review the File Manager Legend.


4.1 - How to Access the File Manager


To Access the File Manager, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "File Manager" module to the left-hand side of your screen.


2. Your File Manager window will now appear.


4.2 - How to Create Folders


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "File Manager" module to the left-hand side of your screen.


2. Next, select the “Create a Folder” icon to the top left side of the File Manager window.



3. You will then be asked to name your folder, continue to do so and select "OK".



4. After you have created your folder, you may now choose to select that folder and begin uploading any designated files to the file manager, folder organization will save you much time on building your site.




4.3 - How to Upload files to the Upload Manager


1. First, access your “File Manager” located on the left-hand side of your screen in the navigation panel.


2. If you have created a folder for that particular file, select it now. You may then add the file to that folder by any of the two means listed below in the "Means of Uploading Files" section.


If you do not wish to place a file in any particular folder, without selecting a folder select the upload icon and add your file that way.


Means of Uploading Files:

               

Drag and drop the proper files into this window.


-Or-


Click the upload window to prompt your file explorer.


4.4 - File Manager Permitted File Types


Images: JPG, JPEG, PNG, Gif, BMP, TIFF, SVG


Files: doc, docx, rtf, pdf, xls, xlsx, txt, csv, html, psd, sql, log, fla, xml, ade, adp, mdb, accdb, ppt, pptx, odt, ots, ott, odb, odg, otp, odf, ods, odp, css, ai, js, eot, ttf, woff, woff2


Videos: mov, mpeg, m4v, avi, mpg, ma, flv, webm, ogv


Music: mp3, mpga, m4a, ac3, aiff, mid, ogg, wav


Misc: zip, rar, gz, tar, iso, dmg


4.5 - How to Delete Files/Folders in the File Manager?


Simply hover over the file/folder you wish to delete; an option will appear below the image or the file allowing you to select the erase icon (trash can) which will remove the file / folder from the file manager.


Note: 


If you happen to delete the wrong file accidentally, you will need to follow the same steps as you would when adding a new file. See (How to Upload files to the Upload Manager).  



4.6 - How to Access and Add Files from Your File Manager to Your Website?


Important Note: When in the Visual Builder, you can highlight any or all of a blocks section and be granted access to alter all displayed data within that block.


Editing an Image Section Within a Block:


1. Let's say you want to change the image highlighted in this particular block, you would hover over that image and select it to prompt your options.



2. Once selected the image you wish to alter/change, you will be prompted with options only applying to the selected field as shown below. (Image options depicted below)



3. To change out an image select the picture icon pointed out in the example below.



4. You will then be prompted with the "File Manager" window. Find the file you wish to replace in that section and select it, our system will do the rest.


5. Your image will then appear as it does in our example down below...



Editing a Background Image Section of a Block:


1. Let's say you want to alter the background of a block, hover over that block and select the gear icon in the editing options to the top right hand side as displayed below.



2. You will then be prompted with the "Section Settings" options as displayed below.



3. To change your background image, select the blue "Add/Change" button. After doing so you will then be prompted with the file manager window.


4. Select the image you wish to apply to the background and your background will instantly change to your new image. See example below.
