URL redirection, also called URL forwarding, is a World Wide Web technique for making a web page available under more than one URL address. When a web browser attempts to open a URL that has been redirected, a page with a different URL is opened.

To Access the URL Redirect Options, Please Follow the Steps Listed Below:


1. In your dashboard menu, select the "Content" module to the left-hand side of your screen.


2. In the drop-down menu, select the "Settings" option.


3. Below the “Settings” option a sub drop-down menu will emerge. In the sub drop-down menu select the “URL Redirect” menu item.


How to Create a New URL Redirect


1. In the domain mapping window, select the blue “Create New Mapping” button depicted below.


2. From there, you may now enter the old and the new URL of your website.


3. Check the “To External Links" checkbox to indicate a URL that is not contained in the site. For more information on  external links, refer to the Q & A at the beginning of this section. (Need Q&A)


4. After you have filed in the proper fields and are ready to save your progress, select the blue “Submit” button located in the lower right-hand side of your mapping window.


How to Edit an Existing URL Redirect


1. Find the existing URL redirect link you wish to edit, and to the right-hand side of that row select the blue "Options" button.


2. From there you not only have the option to "Delete" an existing URL Redirect link, but you may also select the "Edit" option in the drop-down menu giving you the ability to alter your existing link and fields.


3. Below is an example of a redirected URL using the examples before. You’ll want to be sure to redirect any old URLs to a new page to avoid 404 errors in the future.
